Semi Finals Action

5 women's and 2 men's teams started Sunday 13th Sept looking for grand finals places or grand final glory.The men's WVFC U18/PL lads upset the favourites Belconnen Utd in their grand final, knocking them off 1-nil in a fantastic performance by the team. It was Woden's 3rd U18/PL GF in 3 years and 2nd victory!

Our perennial GF contestants the Masters Div 1 side although taking the lead against Canberra FC eventually went down by 3 goals to 1.
On the women's side whilst the U18 Div 2 girls put up a good fight they were pipped to the grand final by Radford, however playing at the same time both the U18/Div 1 girls and U18/PL girls won their semi finals. A last minute goal in extra time saw the U18/Div1 side past Radford......

...whilst a hard fought game against Weston Creek eventually saw the U18/PL girls eventually take the semi 3 - 2.

Unfortunately in other games the womens PL side lost their chance of a GF losing 2-nil to Weston whilst the SL1 girls could not overcome BelWest going down 3-1.
